A Substack audit is a paid outside review of your publication that names why readers are not buying and tells you what to fix first.

A Substack audit for creators is a paid review of a live publication by someone who monetizes newsletters for a living. You send your URL, your revenue goal and your timeline. You get back a recorded video walkthrough of your publication and a written plan that says what to fix first, what to ignore for now, and what your next 90 days should look like.
I run five of these a month. In almost every publication I open, the money stops in one of the same five places.
None of those five are writing problems. That is the part most people are relieved to hear, and the part that makes an audit useful, because every one of them can be fixed in an afternoon once someone points at it.
| Option | What you get | Best for | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Substack Newsletter Audit | A recorded video review of your live publication plus a prioritized 90-day plan | You are already publishing and the money is not moving | $450 |
| 60-Minute Clarity Call | A live call to decide one thing: the offer, the price, or the next 90 days | You know what is broken and need a decision, not a diagnosis | See the page |
| Substack Setup Sprint | Four 1:1 sessions where we build the publication and the conversion path together | You want it built with you, not handed to you as a list | $1,397 |
An audit pays for itself when you have readers and no revenue. If 300 people open your issues every week and nobody has bought anything, the problem is structural and an outside read finds it fast.
Skip it if you have published four times and have 20 subscribers. At that stage you do not have enough data to review. Publish for another 60 days, post on Notes, and get the free guide below instead.
Mine is $450 as a one-time payment, delivered within five business days. I take five a month so each one gets a full review of the live publication before I record anything.
Your Substack URL, your revenue goal and your timeline. Nothing else. I do the review on your live publication.
That is a normal starting point. The audit then covers what has to be in place before you turn paid on, which is usually the about page, the welcome email and one offer.
Yes. The recommendations depend on how Substack works, including the homepage, Notes, recommendations and the paid tier settings.
You get a download link so you can come back to the video, and a written list in priority order. Most people do the first two items the same week.
